Leave A Legacy Scholarship Ceremony

The Congress of Black Women Ontario, Oshawa/Whitby Chapter invites you to our virtual Leave A Legacy Scholarship Ceremony, where we will honour and celebrate 3 remarkable Black youth who received our Leave A Legacy Scholarship this year, which was sponsored by Pepsico and TD Bank!

We are honoured to have 2 keynote speakers for our event: PG Case and Akuah Frempong!

Pita-Garth (PG) Case is a community advocate from Whitby and is the Executive Director of DurhamOne which is a not-for-profit that provides support opportunities to unify diverse groups in Durham Region.

Akuah Frempong is a past Congress of Black Women of Canada scholarship recipient and is now the Chapter Secretary for the Oshawa/Whitby Chapter. Akuah is a healthcare coordinator at a homeless health organization which aims to provide healthcare services in the shelter system across Toronto.

We will also have entertainment!

This event will take place on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 7:00pm.
